$59,796.00 - 74,525.00 annual starting wage, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement (annual increments up to a maximum salary of $96,085.00). Vacation is pro-rated and front loaded annually, based on 240 hours, to be utilized for summer months (July and August).  We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits, as well as cover the basic medical services plan fees.  Paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, and an excellent Benefit Package. 

Description:

Northern Lights College is seeking a full time instructor for the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program that is based on the Dawson Creek campus. A dynamic individual who is engaged in aviation has a passion for teaching and sharing experience, a learner centered mindset who wants personal growth and the opportunity to excel within a great environment. 

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a valid Canadian AME license, Category M1/M2 or E rating, with a minimum of five years 'practical licensed experience. Basic computer skills such as word processing, internet usage and email are essential. 

 

All applications will be reviewed with preference given to applicants having experience in one or more of the following:

  •   Experience or education in the delivery of post-secondary instruction in aviation;
  •   Provincial Instructors Diploma, or Equivalent
  •   Lycoming engine rebuild or experience on King Air, Cessna, or Jetstream would be an asset. General aviation experience considered;
  •   Advanced avionics such as Airbus 320 family, Boeing 777 avionics systems etc. and field maintenance experience with fundamental avionics systems; and
  •   Helicopter experience on Bell 204/205/206/ or AS350.
