$38.33 - 47.77/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


NLC's Career and College Preparation program requires an instructor to provide relief coverage on the Chetwynd campus. We are looking for a flexible generalist. Teaching assignments consist of both classroom instruction as well as online courses that span the Adult Basic Education curriculum at the equivalent of Grades 8'11.  Weekly hours may vary, up to a maximum of 22.5 hours per week, over a 22 week period.




  •   Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (post-secondary diploma may be considered);
  •   Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  •   Committed to student motivation and achievement; and
  •   Collaborate as an effective team member.


  •   Previous instructional experience in a post-secondary environment;
  •   A credential in adult education (e.g., the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program); and
  •  Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
