Classification 11 ($42,823.08 - $44,147.51 annually), as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Annual vacation of 119 hours is prorated and front loaded. We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits, as well as cover the basic medical services plan.  Support Collective Agreement includes time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 Jan 1) of each year is paid time.


We are looking for a media production specialist to join our growing marketing, communications, and prospective student engagement team. You will collaborate on and create audio, video, and motion graphics to share our stories.

You'll translate written or spoken ideas into brilliant creative ideas, present them, collaborate on scripts, casting, sets, locations, and other concerns related to production. You will conduct field and studio-based audio and video production, including interacting with clients and subjects, as well as developing soundtracks and sound design.

To be successful in this position, you'll have a creative flair and a strong technical skills, strong eye for aesthetics and visual composition, and show amazing attention to detail.


Minimum requirements are a diploma in media production, motion picture production, mass communications, or a related field, plus two years' of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Must have full video production experience from start to finish, including project research, storyboarding, writing and revising scripts, securing locations, conducting interviews, casting, scheduling, shot composition, audio, lighting, editing, and post-production graphics. Advanced technical experience in camera operation, microphones, audio design, and lighting for video is required.

Demonstrable production experience using professional-grade equipment and advanced post-production techniques with a strong portfolio that includes commercials, promotional, and educational videos.

Fluent in Windows, macOS, and mobile environments, and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Premiere, After Effects, and Audition, required.

Drone flight experience and certification is a definite asset.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have the ability to manage a variety of simultaneous projects within tight deadlines and have excellent organizational and time management skills. You should bring with you strong interpersonal skills, mature judgement, and diplomacy. You must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.

Must have a current driver's license.
