$38.33 - $47.77/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay. |
Description: |
NLC's Indigenous Human Services Worker program requires an instructor to teach HDEC 101: Human Development 1. This course provides an introduction to concepts, theories, and research methods related to the study of human development from prebirth through adolescence. Emphasis is placed on the application of life-span principles and developmental concepts in individual and social contexts. The effects of heredity and environment, and ethical issues are also explored. Although this course can be delivered primarily at a distance, applicants should be prepared to travel to Fort St. John to deliver a 3.0 hr face to face lecture. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. This course will be delivered over an 8 week period, and will consist of 45 contact hours plus 45 preparation hours along with 6 additional preparation hours for distance delivery for a total contract of up to 96 hrs. |
