$38.33 - $47.77, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


NLC requires an instructor to teach two sections of English 099: University Preparation and two sections of English 110: Introduction to Workplace Communications.  Course outlines are available on NLC's website. This instructional position will also involve some online delivery.

The assignment comprises approximately 24 hours per week over a 16 week period during the Winter 2020 semester, from January 2020 through April 2020.




  • Master's Degree in Health Administration or Nursing; alternatively, a Master's Degree in Business Management or Leadership as well as demonstrable work experience in the Canadian health care system will be considered;
  • Commitment to student motivation and success; and the
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member through collaborative approaches to course pedagogy.


  • Instructional experience in a post-secondary environment;
  • The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education, or a readiness to pursue such a credential; and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
