Reporting to:        Associate Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs





$38.33 - $47.77, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


COMM 301: Organizational Communications is a university transfer course. This course will primarily be delivered through web-conferencing to students and is included in many of the academic programs at Northern Lights College.  Predominantly, students will be in a Business Management program.

  • North American Master's Degree in Communications; consideration will also be given to applicants with a North American Master's Degree in a closely related discipline and demonstrated experience in the field of communications;
  • Commitment to student motivation and success; and the
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member through collaborative approaches to course pedagogy


  • PhD in Communications;
  • Instructional experience in a post-secondary environment;
  • The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education, or a readiness to pursue such a credential; and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
