$38.33 - $47.77/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


The Business Management programs at Northern Lights College offer a wide variety of courses for students interested in working towards a Business Management Certificate, Business Management Diploma, or Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management with specializations in Information Technology and Health Administration. NLC's Business Management courses are also recognized by professional accounting bodies and receive transfer credit at other post-secondary institutions.

NLC's Business Management program requires an instructor to teach MGMT 104: Principles of Management in a classroom setting on the Dawson Creek campus during the Winter 2020 semester.  This course deals with the many elements of current managerial practices, including planning, staffing, organizing, and leading. This contract consists of 3.0 delivery hours per week plus an additional 3.0 preparation hours per week for a total contract of up to 90 hours.

  • Master's Degree in Business Management, or a closely related discipline (North American degree;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Committed to student motivation and achievement; and
  • Ability to collaborate as an effective team member.


  • PhD in Business Management, or a closely related discipline;
  • North American based post-baccalaureate education;
  • Previous instructional experience in a post-secondary environment; and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
