Classification 8, $39,990.75 - $41,227.58 per annum, as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Annual vacation (119 hours) is pro-rated and front loaded.  We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits, as well as cover the basic medical services plan fees.  Support Collective Agreement includes time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves.  Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 Jan 1st) of each year is paid time off.

 

Description:

As a member of our Workforce Training / Continuing Education team, the Campus Clerk will assist with both external and internal inquiries (student, staff and general public) in person, by telephone, or by correspondence for programs that are available college wide.  You would be expected to handle routine public relations functions by exchanging general information on policies and procedures; maintain course interest lists for all program areas and follow-up with students by phone and mail.  This position does require that you have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions.

You can expect that other duties in your day will have you working within our "Colleague" system.  Never heard of "Colleague" don't panic, we have a wonderful team that will train you on this system, becoming one of our many knowledgeable members of our front staff.

**Evening and weekend work may be required on a scheduled basis.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years related experience and a minimum of 1 year of post-secondary education, with a certificate in office administration or business administration preferred. An equivalent combination of experience may be accepted.  Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office is required, along with knowledge of validation of cash and balancing of accounts. Familiarity with student records registration system is an asset.

The successful candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive clerical test.
