$78,996.00 - $105,328.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications as per Level 11 of Northern Lights College's excluded classification scale, plus an excellent benefit package are offered.   Vacation entitlement will be pro-rated, and front loaded, based on 210 hours per year. Time off, with pay, for the period of Dec 25 to Jan 1st, each year.




Under the general direction of the Registrar, the Associate Registrar is responsible for leading and managing the units of scheduling, enrollment (campus) services, student records, and financial aid, as well as providing guidance to those staff who perform enrolment services and financial aid throughout our campuses.

Key responsibilities will include maintenance of the Colleague course catalog and College timetables, operation of the registration systems and enrolment (campus) services unit, development and publication of registration-related materials, credential and transcript production, ensuring the general security and confidentiality of all student-related records, supporting the College awards processes and policies, fulfilling training needs related to student records and enrollment to College employees, adjudication of student variance requests, and overseeing the operation of the administration reception.  The Associate Registrar will serve as the Registrar, in their absence.


The technical requirements for this job would typically be acquired through a Bachelors' degree in administration (business or public), records management, systems management, library or archival studies, or a social science plus a minimum of five years' of progressively responsible experience in post-secondary administration.  The successful candidate must have a high level of understanding of student information systems.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The nature of this position requires an individual who has excellent knowledge of the operational activities of a registrar's office, registration, data and records management systems, Campus programs, policies and procedures, as well as experience in working with collective agreements.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated superior skills in conflict resolution and strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and be analytical. The Associate Registrar will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including training-development skills and hold a high standard of professionalism, as they are responsible for handling confidential and sensitive information.
