Salary:

$68,341.00 - $77,536.00 annual starting wage, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement (annual increments up to a maximum salary of $99,968.00). Vacation entitlement annually is 240 hours (pro-rated from hire date for current year), to be utilized for summer months (July and August), and paid time off between December 25 January 1st each year. We offer an extremely competitive extended health and dental benefits plan.

NLC's Heavy Duty Equipment program is seeking an individual who is wanting to share their knowledge and experience with our students, who are looking to begin a career in the trade.

This program provides all aspects of instruction in the Heavy-Duty Technician Apprenticeship /Foundation programs, consisting of theoretical and practical training in addition to the essential skills related to the Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprenticeship programs in levels 1 through 4 and in the Foundation program.

We adhere to the ITA (Industry Training Authority of BC) curriculum guidelines for the HD trade in the province of BC which prepares the apprentices for the Interprovincial Red Seal examinations at the end of their training

Qualifications:



Candidates must possess the Inter Provincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty technician certification, with a minimum of five years' experience at this level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work and contribute positively to the College environment are essential. A supportive attitude to students and student success is expected. Teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate should hold, or be willing to work towards attaining, the Provincial Instructor Diploma.
