Reporting to: Executive Director to the NLC Foundation


$20,299.61- $20,927.44 annually (Classification 6), as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. We offer leaves that included annual vacation of 59.50 hours (pro-rated and front loaded), as well as time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits package, after the completion of the probationary period (910 regular hours). Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 - Jan 1st) of each year is paid time.


Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Northern Lights College Foundation, the clerk will provide front line client services and clerical and administrative support for the NLC Foundation. Duties will include assisting the Executive Director with donor events, and responsible for the standard office tasks: filing, photocopying, setting up and arranging meetings, mail sorting, overseeing copier/fax equipment, and responding to community inquiries/requests for information. This role will also hold financial responsibility for the Foundation that will included: preparing financial documents, travel requisitions, personal reimbursements, and departmental credit card statements for payments, along with coordinating the processing and use of proper financial coding of purchase orders and cheque requisitions of expenses for the department. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and effective teamwork skills are required in this position.


A minimum of 2 years of related experience and 1 year of post-secondary education with a certificate in office administration preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be accepted. Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office is required. Excellent organizational, both written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be able to work in a team environment, multi-task, and work independently. Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions. The selection process will include completion of a comprehensive clerical test.
