Reporting to: Associate Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs


$41.84 - 49.70/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


NLC's Career and College Preparation (CCP) program requires a temporary, relief instructor to teach courses across the CCP curriculum which may include: Social Studies, Computer Studies, Employment Readiness, English, and Math.

Program delivery may involve a blend of asynchronous and synchronous online learning, and in-person instruction.



  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field;
  • Ability to instruct across the CCP curriculum
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • A commitment to student motivation and success.


  • Credential in Adult Education, such as the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (completed or in progress); and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
