Salary:

 

Classification 7, $21.48/hr, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.50/hr in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay, for all regular hours worked. 

Description:

Do you love working with children?  Do you enjoy planning activities and implementing fun, educational daycare programs? 

We require an individual on a "relief on call" basis to assist in the planning and implementation of daycare programs and activities for the children.  Duties include preparing snacks and meals, organizing special outings and providing escort to children during these outings. Other duties will include cleaning facilities and equipment (according to the Licensing Regulation). 

Qualifications:

As you'll be working with young children, an Early Childhood Education License is required.  An ECE Assistant License or a Diploma in progress may be considered. We also require previous experience working with children. A Standard First Aid ticket is also preferred. Prior to confirmation of employment, the successful employee must demonstrate satisfactory results of a criminal record search.
