$38.33 - 47.77/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


NLC's Career and College Preparation program requires an instructor to teach Math 040 (the equivalent of Math 11) on a relief basis. This position is based on the Fort St. John campus, however is delivered both through video-conference and online. Some travel to Dawson Creek is required for video-conference delivery. Weekly hours may vary.



  • A Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major/Minor in Math, or a Bachelor of Education Degree with a Major/Minor in Math, or a Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Committed to student motivation and achievement; and
  • Collaborate as an effective team member.


  • Previous instructional experience in a post-secondary environment;
  • A credential in adult education (e.g., the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program); and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
