Term of App't:       Temporary, Part Time (15 hour per week)                  

Start date:             Immediately 

Reporting to:         Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs                                                  




$38.33 - 47.77/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.


NLC's Career and College Preparation program requires an instructor to deliver English, Math, and Essential Skills courses for the remainder of the fall semester. The content of these courses is mostly at the Grades 8 -10 levels.



  • A Bachelor Degree;
  • Ability to instructor Math & English for Grades 8 - 10; 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Committed to student motivation and achievement; and
  • Collaborate as an effective team member.


  • Previous instructional experience in a post-secondary environment;
  • A credential in adult education (e.g., the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program); and
  • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
