$62,740.00 - $74,525.00 per annum, as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement, with annual increments up to a maximum salary of $96,085.00. Non-instructional faculty employees receive 210 hours of vacation annually, pro-rated and front-loaded, based on FTE, as well as time off paid between the Christmas and New Year's Day period.  We offer an extremely competitive extended health and dental program, along with MSP (provincial health) coverage.     














Do you have a background in advising and/or in one-on-one services, either with students in a post-secondary setting or within the community? Are you experienced in, and have a deep knowledge of, immigration processes? Are you passionate about learning from different cultures and creating international learning opportunities for students? We have an immediate position available as an International Engagement Coordinator that may be just for you. 

As the successful candidate, you will design, plan, coordinate and implement student engagement functions that will be located on the campuses, as well as in the community, to enhance the experience for our international students and to promote international and intercultural education. These functions will include orientations, workshops and social events.

The International Engagement Coordinator will advise international students through one-on-one discussions and will provide the students with an understanding for the College's academic policies and act as a liaison with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and referrals for students.

You will coordinate and support international engagement by working with the Director and internal stakeholders to develop and promote international learning abroad bringing forward opportunities to our students and assisting with planning for international learning.   


This position will require you to have the ability to work independently, to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships, and to be an active and supportive team member.

In addition to these, as the ideal candidate, you will be required to have:

  • A bachelor's degree in education, or in a field related to international education;
  • Three years' minimum experience working in an advising capacity;
  • Experience or knowledge of immigration policy and practices in Canada;
  • Experience in development of workshops or learning sessions using a variety of tools;
  • An understanding of the MS Office suite (spreadsheets, presentation software, outlook, etc.), databases, and internet applications at an intermediate level; and
  • A current driver's license (travel in the region required)

Note, that preference will be given to those who hold the qualifications as noted below:

  • Master's degree in Education or an International related field;
  • Experience working in a Post-secondary institution;
  • Experience working internationally or in an intercultural environment.
